New EC elected and 3rd Strategic and Business Plan Approved

YPSA Bi-Annual General Meeting held at HRDC Sitakund Campus Conference room on 27th June 2008 . Program and finance report for 2007-2008 and Planning for 2008-2009 was presented by General Secretary and Finance Secretary and approved by General Council members. 3rd Organizational Strategic Plan and Business Plan (2008-2013) were approved by the GC members .AGM was chaired by President of the Executive Committee. In the second part of the AGM , Seven members Executive Committee (2008-2009, 2009-2010) was elected under the supervision of Election Commission .

Entrepreneur’s Development and Business Management training

Entrepreneur’s Development trainingThe half of total population is woman in the society. There is no way to enhance economical development without woman empowerment. It is possible to reduce gender discrimination and empower women by making them as small women entrepreneurs. The education as well as generating income source of woman can increase their social values. Speaker’s said in a 6 days long training on Entrepreneur’s Development and Business Management.

The ending program was held at Bashkhali 17 may 2008. Dr. Aminur Rahman, UNO was the chief guest. Mr. Kamrul Islam Hossaine, Chairman, Bashkhali Municipality and Md. Harun ur Rashid, Officer in Charge of Bashkhali Police station ware present as special guest.

Volunteers received training on Disaster preparedness, Rescue and Primary treatment

Certificate distributionThere are 10 Community Volunteer Groups were formed in the Chittagong City Corporation under the project ‘Mobilizing Communities for Disaster Risk Reduction'. The Volunteers have received training on Disaster preparedness, Rescue and Primary treatment. The volunteers are given certificates after the completion of training at the University of Science and Technology (USTC), Chittagong on 4 June.

International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

Candlelight MemorialHIV/AIDS Coordination Committee in Chittagong observed the 25th Anniversary of the historic International AIDS Candlelight Memorial-one of the world's first public events against HIV/AIDS.
Alhaj M. Manjur Alam, Honorable Mayor (Acting), Chittagong City Corporation was present as Chief Guest and Dr. M. Reazul Karim Chowdhury, Director (Health), Chittagong Division presided the event.

EC meeting24 Years anniversary of YPSA observed at YPSA HRDC on 20 MAY. In this respect the members of YPSA's Executive Committee were present in a discussion program besides the various events. EC members discussed about the future strategy of the organization and they also remembered the ancient times of their journey when YPSA was formed as a Local Community Club and was passing crucial time for it's expansion. YPSA's EC committee appreciates the dedicated employees who are carrying the different development projects of YPSA.
