Goal
To contribute to improve sexual & reproductive health and over all well being of vulnerable and under served adolescents and Youth (10-19) in the urban and peri-urban areas of Bangladesh .
Objectives
- Increase access to adolescent friendly health services (AFHS).
- Increase the capacity of the adolescent to have more control over the factors that effect, their SRH.
Duration
Oct'03 to June' 06.
Location
Uttar Kattali & Uttar Pahartali (Ward 9 & 10 of Chittagong City Corporation).
Target Group
Primary target: Adolescent (boys and girls).
Secondary Target: Parents, Guardians in laws, Teachers service providers.
Major Activities
- Reproductive health session in school.
- Resource center (RC) in community.
- Networking meeting.
- Meeting with service providers.
- Reproductive health session with adolescent.
- Video session.
- Peer education Training.
Achievement
- 169 adolescent groups in community.
- 7 resource centers.
- Friendly behavior and treatment for adolescent in many clinics.
- 5500 adolescent and guardians awareness on ado. Reproductive health
Future plan
Extend areas and work with more adolescents.
